We are looking forward to welcoming our children and their families back to Warren Wood Primary Academy in the Autumn Term 1.  We like to take this opportunity to explain some measures that we have already put in place to welcome you back.

In order to keep everyone safe, if your child or anyone in the family home have any signs of Covid 19 symptoms, including a temperature of over 38.7°C, children should not be brought into school, and should arrange for a Covid 19 test.  Children will not be able to come back to school until we have seen proof of a negative test or they have isolated for 14 days.  Please contact the school office immediately.

Welcome to our Covid-19 information pages – Everything relating to the current pandemic within our school can be found here, this is the area you will find our latest information with first hand up to date information direct from the Headteacher or CEO. We will also share this information on our schools social media accounts.

We understand that the current COVID-19 situation is presenting many challenges to parents. Therefore, it is important that we do our best to keep our students and others healthy and safe.

The Government has produced some helpful guidance for parents  and the NHS have useful information on their Every Mind Matters  webpage.

It can be difficult to explain to children about COVID-19 – as a parent or carer, the best thing you can do is to talk to them honestly but calmly about what is happening. Young Minds have provided some advice about what you can do if your child is worried or anxious.

Remember that one of the best preventions we have is handwashing and maintaining social distancing.

Below are some useful links to information about how the school is running during this time.
