School Meals

The school operates a self-service system within our newly refitted and enlarged dining room, operated by Chartwell Caterers. A wide selection of hot meals, salads, sandwiches, paninis, home baking, fruit and drinks is offered at competitive prices.

The dining room is a completely cashless system. Staff and students need to open an account and charge this with money using either the revaluation machine in school, which accepts coins and notes, or via a secure website using a credit or debit card. Food is then paid for using either a thumb print reading device at the till, or a PIN number.

At the beginning of the school year, we ask parents to state their wishes in respect of the lunchtime arrangements for their daughter / ward. Should the arrangements change, parents should write to the School Office who will make the appropriate adjustments. These arrangements must be consistent. A pupil who goes home to lunch will be issued with a pass which will include her photograph.

Pupils who have lunch in school must not leave the premises at lunchtime without the permission of either their Head of Year or a more senior member of staff. No prefects are permitted to leave the site at lunchtime.

The school lunchtime runs from 13:10 until 13:50.

Free School Meals

Students who are eligible for free school meals will have their account credited with the appropriate amount each day. This money must be spent on a daily basis and cannot be accumulated.

Cashless System

All students will be issued with an account number for the cashless system along with a PIN number to allow them to buy food. Parents of new students will also receive a letter inviting them to have their daughter’s thumb scanned to allow them to pay for food in this way (which is more secure than using a PIN number). Students can convert to using the thumb print method of payment at any time in the year.
