Our Schools/Our Family
There are currently five Academies in the Skills For Life Trust.
Greenacre Academy is the founder member of the Trust and converted to Academy status in April 2012. There are 930 students on roll including the boys in years 7 to 11 together with the boys in the sixth form which is a partnership with the neighbouring school, Walderslade Girls School. The Academy was rated ‘good’ in all categories by OFSTED in June 2018 and has a thriving school sports partnership which has won national acclaim during the past two years.
The Headteacher is Shelly Bridger.
Warren Wood Primary Academy joined the Trust as a sponsored Academy on 1 July 2014. Although placed in ‘special measures’ by OFSTED in December 2013, the academy has now progressed to RI with three headings of GOOD namely leadership and management, behaviour and early years following an inspection in June 2017.
The Headteacher is Louise Ward.
Chantry Community Academy joined the Trust as a sponsored academy on 1 January 2016. It became a GOOD school following an inspection in early December 2016.
The Headteacher is Kathryn Duncan.
Hilltop Primary Academy joined the Trust as a converter academy on 1 February 2018. The academy was deemed to be a GOOD school by OFSTED in February 2016.
The Headteacher is Karin Tillett.
Walderslade Girl’s School joined the Trust as a converter academy on 1st September 2018. The school is RI following an inspection in September 2017 although personal development, behaviour and welfare is GOOD as is 16-19 study programmes.
