LGBTQ+ Myth Busters
LGBTQ+ Myth Busters visit PGW Sixth Form
On 29th January, The University of Kent’s LGBTQ+ Myth Busters visited to talk about their own personal experiences of being LGBTQ+ and university life in general.
Students submitted anonymous questions to the Myth Busters on post-it notes. Questions ranged from how their parents reacted when they “came out”, to how being part of the LGBTQ community affects their lives at university. The workshop ended with the students being given the opportunity to talk to the Myth Busters individually.
We are very proud of our Sixth Form for displaying fantastic Skills for Life. They approached the subject with a respectful attitude, and the Myth Busters gave positive feedback about our students’ great manners and maturity throughout the workshop.
