Pupil Premium

Pupil premium is money that is put into the school budget to support children who receive free school meals, are looked after or are from military services families. The school has to use this money to raise the levels achieved by these groups of children.

The funding is used to provide a nurture group, at playtime and lunchtime, provide homework help and additional reading. A one to one tutor is also funded using this money. Children who qualify for pupil premium funding are given priority access to these additional methods of support.

The impact on the progress of the children is reviewed each year, and published on the website in May, following the setting of the new budget.

The Pupil Premium Allocation for the 2017-2018 School Funding Year has been broken down by term.
