Parents’ Evening

This is an invaluable opportunity to discuss individually with subject teachers how well your son/ward is progressing in his subjects. We always encourage that your son/ward attends with you in order to be able to discuss actions for further development and improvement.

All members of staff who teach your son/ward will be present at this evening and they will feedback to you on your son/ward’s performance, including any areas for improvement and development. Students’ work folders/exercise books are also available at these appointments and we welcome and encourage you to take these home for further discussions with your son/ward about his progress.

At Greenacre Academy, we are always striving to ensure we meet the highest of standards and so we always ask for feedback. We were delighted to have some really positive comments from the year 7 parents’ evening survey. Please see these comments below:

‘Thank you for supporting Leo. Teachers are doing a great job.’
‘I am very pleased with the school and how they support my son.’
‘Well organised and very informative.’
‘Very pleased for attending. I received very relevant information about my child’s progress. Thank you very much.’
‘I am so very proud of how well Zach is progressing. Thank you.’

Due to the current restrictions, we are facing as a school, we have had to rethink the format of parents’ evening. Normally, parents’ evenings take place on a face-to-face basis at the School.

With safety at the forefront of our decisions, we have had to make changes to our normal parents’ evening and this year we will be conducting appointments with form tutors over the course of a week. Form tutors will have up to date information from all of your son/ward’s subject teachers. Your child’s teacher will be able to talk to you about their behaviour, progress and attitude to learning and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions. The conversations will last a maximum of fifteen minutes.
