Skills for Life
GCSE/A-Levels Summer 2021
Due to the disruption of COVID-19 and lockdowns which has affected students learning in years 11 and 13, the Government made the decision that normal examinations were not going to take place this year and instead schools have been asked to determine Teacher Assessed Grades (TAGs) this Summer 2021. In order to ensure as fair an approach as possible guidance has been given to schools as to how this should look and each school has been asked to write a Centre Policy as to how grades will be determined. Greenacre’s Centre policy can be found here.
Schools have been asked to ensure there is, where possible, consistent evidence across the cohort of students in each subject. Therefore, you will find below links to the list for each subject of the evidence being used to determine grades for students. All students have been made aware of when evidence is being used by their teachers and will be signing a declaration to state that the work is their own.
Results days this Summer are:
10th August for A-level students
12th August for GCSE students
More information will follow as to exactly how results day will work this Summer closer to the time as we review COVID restrictions at the time. There is an appeals process in place this year and guidance from JCQ can be found here as to what this means for students.
