Skills for Life
In Nursery we start preparing your child for their school life. We can do this by providing the right learning environment to think and be as independent as possible. Through play based learning we can give them the foundation and tools they will need to prepare them for their Reception classes.
Within our Nursery we will be further supporting your child’s development through encouraging them to work well with their peers and adults, whilst providing them with lots of challenge. All our children are well nurtured and have a sense of community.
We work really closely with Chantry’s Reception classes to make the transition from us to school as smooth and as happy as possible. Towards the end of the year children have the opportunity to visit their new classrooms and the Reception teachers visit the Nursery regularly.
Our Nursery is run by two qualified teachers, Mrs Adsley and Mrs Brewster and supported by an additional three qualified teaching assistants/nursery nurses. All are enthusiastic members of staff who enjoy supporting your children to play and explore and become excellent, critical thinkers.
Our Nursery currently offers 15 hours per week for children aged 3 years.
We offer morning or afternoon session as follows:
Morning session is 8:30am – 11:30am
Afternoon session is 12:30pm – 3:30pm
We offer places three times a years (September, January and April), subject to availability.
If you would like to apply for a nursery place please download the attached application form and bring to the school office. We will need to see your child’s birth certificate, passport and proof of your address (i.e. tenancy agreement, bank statement etc.).
